Principal's Corner

Hi Hilltop Drive Families,

Welcome to Hilltop Drive Elementary! I am Dr. Grisier, the principal at Hilltop Drive Elementary and I’m excited to start my fourth year at Hilltop Drive and we have accomplished a lot together during that time. Parent Involvement increased with monthly Family Reads and new PTO, Chronic Absenteeism have decreased through encouraging incentives like AttenDANCEs and The Game Truck, which has lead to an increase in student achievement.

Hilltop Dr. Knights are Safe, Kind and Responsible. These characteristics are addressed in all our areas of the school. We address what it looks like to be a safe, kind and responsible on the playground, in the classroom and in the hallways, etc. Safety is a top priority at Hilltop Drive. We will continue to practice our safety drills, address any safety issue that arises and train staff. In addition, to the safety of the physical campus, we will address student personal safety and increasing student sense of belonging by making sure they feel safe at school.

At Hilltop Drive Elementary, we build and establish a welcoming environment for all students and parents. We believe each child is an individual of great worth entitled to develop to their full potential.

  • For our families of color, to know that your life matters, know that we will continue to learn how to value what you bring to our school.
  • For our families with a family member identifying as LGBTQ+, we will provide a safe space for you at Hilltop Drive.
  • For our families whose primary language is not English, know that we will do our best to support the communication between home and school.
  • For our families of higher needs, know that we will work with you to ensure your child(en) get the services they deserve and need to be as successful as possible.
  • For our families with difficult schedules, know that we will work with you to ensure you have what you need to assure students are in their classrooms learning. .

We continue to learn. If you believe there is something that the staff should be aware, please bring it to my attention.

Our parent group, the Hilltop Drive PTO, is a strong partner with the school community and staff to support all Hilltop Drive students.
